perfect-swordIn old Japan, Sensei Masa, master sword maker, and his apprentice Michio, craft a magnificent samurai sword and set out looking for a deserving owner. Many samurai seek to have it but none has the character that meets Sensei’s approval, until one day at the market a young man challenges a thief.  With genuine detail, the illustrations depict samurai-era Japan and the traditional relationship of master/apprentice.
