BATMAN : THE STORY OF THE DARK KNIGHT by Ralph Cosentino

batmanA graphic biography for the youngest reader, Cosentino writes how Batman began his career as the masked crusader for justice in Gotham City. Each double-page spread shows a scene from Bruce Wayne’s childhood and his preparation to transform himself into Batman. We see his mansion and the rooms below where Batman gets the emergency signal to zoom off in his batmobile to rescue or avenge a citizen from danger. The large format and the very short text should make this a popular choice for the preschool child through elementary grades.
