littleyellow-leafIt’s autumn and leaves are falling all around the Little Yellow Leaf.  But Little Yellow Leaf is not ready to fall off its oak tree. Days pass, the harvest moon comes and goes, the first snow of winter falls. Still not ready to fall, Little Yellow Leaf feels all alone among the bare icy branches of the great big oak tree. And then, searching… Little Yellow Leaf sees one lone scarlet leaf clinging high on a branch. Discovering each other, the two gather courage and let go of their branches, flying together gently and, overcoming their fear, joyfully.  With succinct narrative and superb collage artwork, the author/illustrator tells a story of lasting impact.
