YELLOW MOON, APPLE MOON By Pamela Porter and illustrated by Matt James

yellow-moon1This cozy bedtime poem swings from the moon to a child’s home—“my house, my window, swing and tree, my cat, my bed, my pillow”—and back to the moon. The lyrics and music of a bilingual New Mexican lullaby “At the Gate of Heaven”/ “A la puerta del cielo ” are included at the end. The illustrations are free-flowing and comforting.
